COMPOSITE PLATE CONSTRUCTION

Composite plate side walls maximize interior capacity while providing excellent strength and durability against abrasion and damage. Sandwiched between two galvanized steel cover sheets is a high density, polyethylene core. The composite plates are joined together by steel logistic slotted stiffeners that fit into grooves on the panel edges to further minimize the thickness of trailer sidewalls and create a virtually snag-free interior. No single sidewall material can be lightweight while providing the same amount of strength.

FULL LENGTH EXTERNAL RUB RAILS

Constructed of high strength aluminum, the full length external rub rails protect the trailers exterior sidewall surfaces against moderate abrasion and impact damages. The rub rail is designed to take the impact forces of a small mistake that could have potentially cost you much more. This small addition can make a huge impact on repair bills by helping to avoid the costly replacement of top rails, bottom rails, and/or composite side plates. Tapered fade away plugs are used at both ends of the rail to create a snag-free surface.

ENHANCED INTERIOR DESIGN

The interior of our dry vans has been given the same attention to detail as the rest of the trailer. The nose plate is reinforced with the same high strength composite material as the sidewalls. Stainless steel scuffs and a 28” threshold plate have been added to further strengthen and protect the interior. To enhance the floors durability, the boards are fastened down using groups of three staggered screws. The floor is supported by crossmembers that have been placed on 10” centers, rather than industry standard 12” centers.

HENDRICKSON AIR RIDE SUSPENSION

Optimized for dry freight and refrigerated sliding tandems, VANTRAAX HKANT 40K with a capacity rating of 40,000 pounds, remains one of the lightest air suspension systems on the market. At the same time, it addresses the critical needs for a superb ride, rugged durability and low maintenance. Featuring LDA (Large Diameter Axles) and heavy duty parallel spindles for increased roll stiffness, reduced weight, and improved durability, the VANTRAAX helps haulers boost payloads and enhance fuel efficiency. It also features Hendrickson’s SURELOK and QUIK-DRAW systems.

TIREMAAX PRO PSI MONITORING SYSTEM

TIREMAAX PRO, an automatic tire pressure control system that is capable of actively inflating or relieving the tires to a preset pressure level. Its straightforward mechanical design balances tire pressure at every wheel position by continuously monitoring and adjusting tire pressure based on changing environmental conditions - an important feature for achieving maximum tread life in any tire configuration. This system also features a warning light mounted on the driver side radius panel that will alert the driver of a potential tire problem before it turns into a much bigger issue.

SURELOK ANTI DOCK WALK SYSTEM

Maintains deck height and eliminates horizontal movement of the trailer, known as dock walk, during loading & unloading. SURELOK features two locking legs that provide maximum engagement with the suspension beam. A robust return spring enhances durability and a metal flange at the bottom of each leg ensures proper positioning. The supports are automatically engaged when the trailer’s parking brakes are set. When the parking brake is released, SURELOK’s support legs automatically retract. No driver interaction required.

HEAVY DUTY COUPLER PLATE

Coupler plates are subjected to extreme shock and stress during normal operation. To enhance the durability and longevity of our trailers, we have replaced the industry standard 1/4” thick plate with a high strength 5/16” thick plate.

REINFORCED APPROACH PLATE

Just like the coupler plate, the approach plate is subjected to high levels of stress. We have added a high strength striker angle over the heavy duty stainless steel approach plate to better deflect the fifth wheel plate under the trailers.

HEAVY DUTY LANDING GEAR

The Jost Magnum A450 heavy duty landing gear has a lift capacity of 62,500 pounds and is equipped with a two speed maintenance free internal gearbox. The solid wing plate and additional crossmember supports add additional strength.
